As an artist and energy worker, I recognize beauty in all things. While my physical eyes may observe the world with all of its woes and wonders, my entire being sees that everything is as it should be.
Our souls choose the people we meet in this lifetime in order to experience the best and highest way for us to learn. Of course, when we incarnate, we forget this and there is all this drama and hurt.
In the midst of one of my own dramas, a spiritual nudge led me to a Reiki class. That first class struck an unexpected chord and I was intrigued and inspired to learn more. Since learning and practicing Reiki, the quality of my life has been greatly enriched. And now I have made a personal commitment to help others to heal themselves.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
The word Reiki reflects two Japanese words - Rei which means "Higher Power" and Ki, meaning "life force energy." Therefore, Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy that flows through us and animates us. When the life force energy is low, the body is vulnerable to illness and stress; conversely, high energy fosters health and happiness.
Reiki is an effective means of assisting patients with virtually every known malady. It also works well in conjunction with all other medical and therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Administered by "laying on hands," a treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance flowing through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. A session yields many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.
